Acadian Monitoring Services held its Second Annual Dealer Appreciation Days Conference on September 13 th and 14 th honoring Acadian On Watch Dealers and thanking them for their continued business. The Golf Tournament scheduled for Thursday morning was cancelled due to inclement weather, but attendees were treated to lunch at Crawfish Town USA in Breaux Bridge instead. (I think most of them were not too upset about the rain ruining their golf game after they ate!)

That evening a dinner was held at Fezzo's III in Scott. Richard Lebouef, member of the Cajun band “Two Step” and star of his own local cooking show, “The Good Time Kitchen” is a fun and informative comic musician & humorist who kept the crowd entertained while serving as host for the night. After the meal, Jason Vincent of Argus Security, an AOW Dealer, served as our disc jockey and played our favorite tunes while everyone danced and visited.

The conference was held on Friday and consisted of a full day of presentations from several vendors who helped to sponsor the event. Anixter, DICE Corporation, Digital Security Controls, Aiphone, Super Circuits and Video Insight were among the presenting companies. The theme for the day was boxing and Kasha “The Fighting Marine” Chamblin, wife of Acadian NEMSA employee, Josh Chamblin, was our special guest, handing out the Dealer Awards during the program. There was even a boxing ring, which served as the arena for Blane Comeaux, VP of Monitoring Services and Mike Simpson of DICE to “duke it out” as part of a skit during the program.

Many dealers and vendors from throughout the United States attended and were pleased with the event. They were even able to earn Continuing Education credits for coming to this year's conference. A great time was had by all and we are looking forward to next year's event.
